Shortlisted authors

We are thrilled to announce the shortlisted poets for the ZaNa Literature Festival's open call for poetry. We received an overwhelming response to the call for poetry, with over 180 applicants submitting their work for consideration. After careful consideration and review, we have chosen a short list of 30 poets whose work best represents the theme of self-reflection with our jury: Vlora Ademi, Aleksandra Jovičić Đinović, Shpetim Selmani, Aleksandar Dunđerin and Lulzim Hoti, that had a very tough job in selecting the shortlisted poets, as the quality of the submissions was exceptional.

We would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to the following poets for being shortlisted for the ZaNa Literature Festival III: Lulzimi Haziri, Silvana Marijanović, Adnan Žetica, Aida Šečić Nezirević, Ina Baqoshi, Stefan Elezović, Aleksandra Vujisić, Nurie Emrullai, Luka Boljević, Milena Radević, Vlora Konushevci, Marija Dejanović, Sara Kopeczky, Tihana Gambiraža, Snjezana Vračar Mihelač, Bojan Krivokapić, Adela Demetia, Damir Nedić, Jelena Kostić, Rozafa Shpuza , Marija Kostić, Blerta Zabergja, Milutin Milošević, Vukašin Štreker, Afrim Demiri , Žarko Milenković, Livia Tice, Marina Radovanović, Goran Lončarević and Adelina Xhaferi.During April, the jury will make a final selection of 12 authors whose poems will be published in the three-volume edition of ZaNa III (in Albanian, Serbian and English) in May 2023.

The theme of ZaNa III is "Self-reflection as a form of art therapy", and since this year the festival has acquired an international character. The poetry book ZaNa III will be presented to the Mitrovica audience at the end of May 2023, and it is expected that all the authors represented in it will be guests of "Dhemetra" and "Akvarijus".

We want to thank all the poets who submitted their work for consideration, and we were impressed by the high level of talent and creativity of poets from the Balkan region that displayed in the submissions. We wish all of the poets continued success in their writing journeys and hope to see more of their work in the future.

This third edition of ZaNa Literature Festival is organized by Dhemetra & Akvarijus and supported by: United Nation Mission in Kosovo, and Swiss Office for Cooperation in Prishtina.
