The theme of the fifth edition of the ZaNa Literature Festival is “Journeying | Udhës | Putovanje” – an invitation to reflect on the concept of journey in all its forms: as physical movement through places and landscapes, as an emotional passage through memories and feelings, and as an inward exploration of the self. The journey is approached as a process of transformation, a path that challenges, shapes, and defines us. Through this theme, the festival aims to highlight the power of words to narrate both outer and inner travels, building bridges between human experiences across cultures.
Through readings, discussions, exhibitions, and performances, ZaNa V will serve as an open space for all those in motion – in mind, in heart, or in life. The theme of “Journeying” transforms the festival into more than just a literary gathering; it becomes a collective voyage, where words act as guides toward a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves.
The ZANA Literature Festival is an institution, a school on how a festival transcends, penetrates, and masters. By bringing more soul to Mitrovica, ZANA, especially in its 2022 edition, was an enjoyable journey where I had the opportunity to read a few of my intimate, personal poems, which I wouldn’t want to read in just any other literary setting.
I am extremely happy that I was part of the edition of Zana. An edition that, in addition to literature, brings the spirit of reconciliation, dignity, living together and is a wonderful continuation of certain communities that make serious efforts for new realities, for a bright future.
ZaNa festival I experience as a celebration where people's differences are celebrated through art that touches everyone's life. It is the space where literature is celebrated for its effect on culture, and language is no barrier to this craze.
